Blumfield’s Nebraska Sesquicentennial Celebration

Our Sesquicentennial Celebration will include class projects and presentations by the students, Pre-school – 6th grade. Projects by grade include: Pre-school art projects focusing on the colors of Nebraska, Kindergarten Alphabet books about Nebraska, First Grade projects focusing on the numbers that are important to our state,Second Grade displays about Arbor Day and plant identification, Third Grade books about state symbols and topographical maps, Fourth Grade projects that focus on early pioneer life in Nebraska, and Fifth Grade multi-media projects which allow state monuments and symbols to talk. Sixth Grade students will be dressed in costumes of famous Nebraskans, and they will be wandering the building, greeting visitors. There will be QR codes about state historical markers, and questions for visitors to answer. We also hope to have one of the Nebraska Gigantor maps on display.
