Grundlovsfest 2017 – Nebraska Sesquicentennial – Where Cultures Connect
June 3, 2017 - June 4, 2017
Grundlovsfest – Velkommen (meaning welcome) to Dannebrog, the Danish Capital of Nebraska. The first weekend in June, this little village hosts a weekend celebration honoring its heritage. The word “Grundlov” is from a Danish term meaning foundation. The first Grundlovsfest was held in 1988. Games, Danish cuisine, parade vendors, duck races, and artist displays all make this a special celebration. The Pawnee Art Center is always a big attraction and in 2017 the Nebraska Rodeo Notables Hall of Champions will be open for viewing. Dannebrog residents encourage visitors from around the state, country and world to attend the Grundlovsfest celebration.
