This third annual dinner and social event will focus on the historic role of Hereford cattle in Nebraska, and will recognize the contributions of livestock industry leaders who played a key role in Nebraska’s reputation as the Beef State. This year’s celebration will include artwork by two nationally recognized Hereford artists, Tom Phillips and Bud Snidow. In addition, there will be historical displays from nearly a dozen active and retired Hereford operations, especially from the central Sandhills area of the state. The event will begin with tours of Bootleg Brewers, Nebraska’s only ranch-based craft brewery located just north of Taylor. Lunch will be available from the menu, featuring Hereford beef from Loup County. Later in the afternoon, a social hour and dinner will be held at the Loup County Events Center in Taylor. Proceeds will be used for development of a Museum of Nebraska Herefords.
