Nebraska Prairie-Memories Last

November 17, 2017 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

This is a shortened version of the Nebraska Sesquicentennial Program presented at Lincoln Christian School last May.
This program presents a brief history of the State of Nebraska from the Native Americans through the Pilger tornado story with particular emphasis on the Pony Express, Statehood, Arbor Day, Chief Standing Bear, George Norris, and the North Platte Canteen. The program uses composed songs, parodies, narration and characterizations of historical people to present the experiences, history and character of Nebraska.
The purpose of the program is to help people appreciate our history and seek to emulate the courage, faith, resourcefulness and service of our predecessors, and to pass on this heritage to the next generation.
