Nebraskan’s in Aerospace
March 11, 2017 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
The display will include a historic timeline from WWII through the Cold War and will feature Nebraska men and women who made significant contributions throughout the course of aerospace history. The timeline will feature the Wright Brothers, Savage Brothers, Air Mail, Charles Lindbergh, Martin Bomber Plant and others. The exhibit will feature photos and biographies displayed over 30 linear feet of display banners. The portable banners are a display solution that will enable the museum to move the exhibit around the museum and utilize the displays for public engagements.
Scheduled to open March 11, 2017, the exhibit will be on permanent display within the museum so that thousands of guests annually will view it. The displays will also be available to travel to public appearances when educational platforms include teaching students or guests about aviation history. The celebration on March 11, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., includes local high school bands playing music composed by Nebraskans and a public speaker whose topic will focus on the importance of aviation in American history.
