Papillion Days
June 14, 2017 - June 18, 2017

What once began as a barbeque put on by volunteer firefighters has grown into a five-day festival with attractions for the whole family. In 2017, Papillion Days will celebrate its 70th anniversary. The event includes a large vendor fair with more than 100 craft, commercial and food vendors of every type. Papillion Days also includes a large carnival and helicopter rides and is home to one of the largest parades in Nebraska with more than 120 entries. There is live music and entertainment on the stage in the park, three nights of beer gardens and fun new events each year. The mayor hosts an annual luncheon on Saturday at which the Papillion Volunteer of the Year is honored. Papillion Days also has wonderful traditions for children, including a kiddie parade, duck paddle event and carnival at the fire station. Father’s Day morning is celebrated with the annual Boy Scout Pancake Feed and is closed out with a concert by the Papillion Area Concert Band at Sumtur Amphitheater. Papillion Days brings together neighbors and friends, young and old to celebrate not just the history, but also the amazing future of the community.
