Pickrell Picnic is a celebration of community and heritage through fun activities and social events. The weekend starts on Friday night with the NK Pullers rolling into town for a tractor pull. Saturday events start early with the “One Hill of a Run” race that takes runners over the old railroad tracks and finishes with a run up the main street hill. Saturday competitions include volleyball and kickball tournaments and games for youth, including Little Tuggers. Antique Tractor Trek is a new favorite that parades tractors around the country side and finishes with a tractor show. Unique to Pickrell is the annual downhill lawn mower races. Mowers can reach up to nearly 30 mph racing down the main street of Pickrell. Saturday concludes with a BBQ and open-air dance in the Park. On Sunday, visitors enjoy a laid-back community-wide church service in the Park, a windsor loin dinner, show and shine car show, and an afternoon band in the open-air shelter. It’s three days of fun and excitement in Pickrell. Come and enjoy.
