Solar Eclipse | Alliance

Experience a once-in-a-lifetime event when you visit Alliance, Nebraska, on Monday, August 21, 2017, to view a Total Solar Eclipse! The moon will align perfectly with the sun, casting a shadow across all of Alliance, causing a total eclipse of the sun. The best place for viewing the Total Solar Eclipse is on the exact centerline of the eclipse path as it has the longest viewing time. Alliance, Nebraska, is located on that centerline. The eclipse will begin at 10:27 a.m. MDT. Full eclipse will occur at 11:49 a.m. MDT and continue for two minutes and 28 seconds at Carhenge and 2 minutes, 30 seconds in downtown Alliance and at the airport. Viewing stations will be set up at Carhenge, Alliance Airport and Laing Lake Park. Plan to arrive in plenty of time to stake out your viewing site.
